Israelis Had Prior Knowledge of 9/11, FBI Reports Suggest

Israel has a long-standing history of engaging in deceitful behavior. For years, they have refused to acknowledge the existence of up to 400 nuclear weapons despite a plethora of evidence that the country indeed possesses the bombs. Israel has also attempted to place bombs inside of American, British, and Egyptian civilian targets in the Lavon Affair in 1954. They killed 34 Americans when they attacked the American USS Liberty in 1967. Both countries hastily ruled it an accident, but it didn’t convince everyone. Now, recently discovered FBI documents give eerie information that dwarfs all of these incidents; the files suggest that Israeli nationals working for Mossad had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.

The Five Dancing Israelis

On the fateful morning of the attacks, people across the country sat with gaping mouths and heavy hearts. But five Israeli nationals, according to eyewitness reports and FBI documents, had a different reaction. From the parking lot of Doric Apartments in Weehawken, New Jersey, the men danced, laughed, and high-fived as the towers burned. A resident of Doric Apartments, Maria (who chose not to reveal her last name), recollected what she saw shortly after 8:46 on 9/11.

I grabbed my binoculars and I’m trying to look at the Twin Towers but what caught my attention was down there I see this van parked and I see 3 guys on top of the van. They seemed to be taking a movie and I could see that they were like happy and laughing, they didn’t look shocked to me, you know what I mean? They didn’t look shocked. – Maria

Various reports detailed that this interaction took place “minutes” after the first plane struck the World Trade Center.

Around 4:00 PM, police arrested the Five Dancing Israelis after finding their van on a service road near Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The five men were eventually identified as Sivan Kurzberg, Paul Kurzberg, Yaron Schmuel, Oded Ellner, and Omar Marmari. With them, cops found nearly $5,000 cash, fake student IDs, Israeli passports, and airline tickets with destinations around the world.

The FBI later concluded that two of the men had then-current links to Mossad. In fact, the agency suspected that they were acting on a mission for the Israeli intelligence agency.

Urban Moving Systems: Undercover for the Israelis?

All five of the workers claimed to be workers for a moving company, Urban Moving Systems. American intelligence, however, suspects that the company was a cover-up for Israeli intelligence. The day after the terror attacks, the FBI investigated the company’s Israeli president, Dominic Suter. They removed documents and hard drives, but upon returning a few days after 9/11, Suter was gone. He also put his house up for sale, fleeing the country for Israel with his family.

Further suspicion arises from the fact that the Five Dancing Israelis were arrested in an Urban Moving Systems van. Several eyewitnesses confirmed that this was indeed the vehicle they saw outside of Doric Apartments. Moreover, there was nothing in the van that would suggest it was a legitimate moving business. The standard moving equipment (dollies, boxes, ropes, etc) were all absent.

Conflicting Stories

Paul Kurzberg claimed that he and his compatriots were at work as the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center. He released a statement regarding their actions immediately after the attack.

We heard in the news that one of the plane was crashing down the buildings and we thought it was an accident at the beginning. So, we went up to the roof of Urban Moving and we saw the building burning. – Paul Kurzberg

Yaron Schmuel then detailed the events after they saw the burning building.

There is a better view from a building in Jersey that is up a hill, straight-line to the World Trade Center. We decided to go up there, it’s 2-3 minutes from the office, stand over there and take some pictures. Everyone wants pictures like this in his camera. – Yaron Schmuel

Though these two stories line up with each other, numerous other accounts leave them entirely impossible. In the FBI documents, one of the five (redacted name) declared that “[redacted, redacted] and [redacted] were at the [Doric Apartments] parking lot for approximately 10 minutes, between 8:30 and 9:00 AM”. The FBI report eventually concluded that they were indeed there from 8:50 to 9:03.

Now, the story begins to unravel. Google Maps states that the closest Urban Moving building is 5 minutes away, under the usual traffic. Bing Maps is less generous, suggesting that with no traffic at all, the trip would take 6 minutes. But one of the Israelis (redacted name) also told the FBI that they hit “heavy traffic” after leaving the building. This, of course, increases the amount of time it would have taken them to reach Doric Apartments.

Out of Time

Could these stories line up with the fact that the Urban Moving van, with three of the Israelis, was indeed at Doric Apartments on 9/11 between 8:50 and 9:03?

Paul Kurzman claimed that after the attack, the Israelis ascended their own building first, looking at the scene from the roof. Clearly, they could not have done this, grabbed camera equipment, and driven to Doric Apartments in four minutes. This realization casts strong doubt towards Kurzman’s report.

However, the inconsistencies don’t stop there. These sources reveal that in fact, it was impossible for the Five Dancing Israelis to have been inside of the Urban Moving Systems building at 8:46 on the morning of 9/11. The move to grab camera equipment, walk to the car, and drive in heavy traffic, would take significantly longer than the four-minute window they had to get to the parking lot, where the FBI declared they were at 8:50.

Were the Israelis Already in Place?

A contrasting story, though, appears to line up with the available facts. Other witnesses state that they saw the van there as early as 8:00. They also affirm that several of the Five Dancing Israelis were at Doric Apartments the previous day, supposedly working a construction job there until 7 PM on September 10th.

Their prior scoping out of the building, as well as the reports of the van in place, open the possibility that the men already knew the location and reason for their 9/11 photoshoot.

Newark FBI agents also interviewed a female Urban Moving Systems employee, who recalled that she did not remember the Urban Moving Systems van being in its normal parking spot on the morning of the attacks. Documents further reveal that a worker at Urban Moving Systems (redacted name) stated that around 8:00, “he received a telephone call [at work] telling him that the first explosion had occurred”.

A separate FBI report revealed damning but heavily-redacted photos of the men. One depicts Sivan Kurzberg holding up a lighter in the direction of the World Trade Centers. The date of the picture? September 10th, 2001.

During their interrogations, four of the five men took polygraph tests. One of the five admitted “that he had been employed in Israel”, but his specific occupation is redacted on the report. This fits with the conclusion that two of the man had ties to Mossad.
