Fans are thrilled to have the Clown Prince of Crime back on the big screen and for good reason. The Joker is not just one of the most beloved villains in DC history, but in all of pop culture. Why is an insane criminal one of society’s most loved villains?

ACLU, Please Stop Supporting Abortion

For many, the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) may seem like the perfect choice for a libertarian like myself. Indeed, they have some good viewpoints with which I agree with. The ACLU heavily opposes the methods of the drug war while supporting free speech and privacy. Furthermore, they take aggressive stances against torture and many other cruel cases of abuse of rights. While I may not agree with the ACLU on everything, I would be able to agree to disagree on some minor issues, however, one issue makes my hesitation towards this organization extreme.

Yes, the FBI and DOJ Should Investigate Jussie Smollett

Jussie Smollett, star of the hit TV show “Empire” recently had all charges dropped against him in his hate crime scandal. Smollet had alleged that two men had attacked him in a racially-motivated hate crime. But later evidence suggested that he had faked the attack. Theories ranged on what prompted Smollett to do this; some claim that it was for publicity, while others suggest it was an attack on President Trump. Police gave him 16 counts of disorderly conduct.

Kentucky Bans Abortion on the Basis of Race, Sex, Disability

Republican Governor Matt Bevin on Kentucky signed House Bill 5 into law on Tuesday. The bill would immediately ban abortion on the basis of race, sex, and disability. This the second anti-abortion law that the Republican legislator has passed. The first of these was the “heartbeat” law that would ban abortions after the fetus showed signs of a heartbeat. However, a judge eventually blocked this bill.
