The NBA Is Choosing Money Over Human Rights

On Friday, Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey tweeted out his opinion regarding the protests in Hong Kong. His tweet was of a picture that read, “fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong.” However, the NBA does not support Morey’s actions.

Morey criticized the Communist Party of China for their treatment of the citizens of Hong Kong; there is nothing wrong with what he said.  He even received support from Republican and Democratic politicians alike, including Ted Cruz, Julián Castro, and Beto O’Rourke.

Hong Kong Police Are Masquerading as Protestors to Escalate Catastrophe

Hong Kong Police have come under fire after officials admitted to posing as protestors and committing acts of violence. This comes as Hong Kong Police Public Relations Chief Superintendent Tse Chun-Chung suggests police have intelligence that protesters will engage in terrorism. Activists have responded to claims of violence as “propaganda meant to scare people from taking to the streets.”. Hong Kong Legislator Claudia Mo echoed the opinion of activists, calling the intelligence “a joke”.
