Over the past five days, Iraqi citizens have taken to the streets in protest. The country’s largest movement of its kind in years, thousands are calling for Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi to resign.

Iraqi security forces have since viciously attacked the protesters, killing dozens and injuring thousands more. Iraq’s High Commission for Human Rights reports that as of Saturday, at least 99 protesters have died as the Iraqi government shoots them with rubber bullets and live ammo alike.

What Is Israel Hiding From Us About 9/11?

James Sweet III | @jsweetIII

From shooting at journalists and children to attempting a false-flag operation against American buildings in Egypt, Israel has a history of committing questionable acts. However, their crimes don’t stop there. On September 11th, 2001, five men stood in the parking lot of an apartment complex in New Jersey. These men, unlike many Americans on 9/11, did not stare in disbelief at the attacks unfolding right before them. Rather, these five men seemingly celebrated the worst terror attack in modern world history. They took pictures while laughing and dancing and were likely only surpassed in joy by Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists in the Middle East. Commonly called the Five Dancing Israelis, the world has forgotten about their actions. However, the FBI never forgot, and an investigation into these men yields shocking, but not surprising, results: two of these five men had ties to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

Say Goodbye to American Primacy and Hegemony

Kevin Doremus | United States

The United States has been involved in four military conflicts since the end of the Cold War: Serbia, Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Of course, this is not counting proxy wars. The U.S. has spent an enormous amount of money and blood in regions that are known to be unstable. There needs to be increased restraint in how the government involves itself in foreign affairs.

Over the past decade, the United States has engaged in a policy commonly referred to as primacy, or liberal hegemony. Its advocates argue that the U.S. needs to preserve its power advantage and defend Western values such as democracy, universal human rights, and open markets. In Washington D.C., it is a strategy that has bipartisan support. Yet, the American populace has seemingly rejected this policy at the polls.

Neoconservatism Is Destroying America

The great economist F.A. Hayek once stated that conservatism is only as good as what it conserves. Traditional American Conservatism is based on Judeo-Christain morals and preserving old American values, as well as valuing constitutionalism and limited government. The Republican Party is the alleged party of conservatism, but most of its members have abandoned it and embraced neoconservatism.

Unlike traditional conservatism, it is unclear what exactly neoconservatives are trying to save. Neoconservatism peaked in the 1990s and 2000s, but it still lingers in today’s politics and is harming America. Moreover, the neoconservative philosophy has plagued most of the 20th century.

Are Politicians Just Using Muslims to Ban Guns?

gun control politicians muslims guns
Ryan Lau | @RyanLau71R

Last Friday, a lone gunman entered two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, opening fire and killing 50. All of these people were innocent Muslims who were simply partaking in Friday prayer. As a result, many politicians across the globe are calling to end hate towards Muslims and increase gun control. Particularly in the United States, though, most of these voices are wildly inconsistent. The majority of Congress, according to voting records and funding they accept, cares very little for Muslims. Or, at least, they have no regard for the ones overseas. In reality, it looks like quite a few politicians are simply using Muslims as a tool to ban guns.
