We’re all familiar with President Donald J. Trump. We’re all familiar with his controversial speeches, his routine tweeting, and the endless media coverage surrounding him. Needless to say, Trump is a very well-known figure.
What’s interesting though, is that the American public has quietly began separating President Trump’s actions from what he says. Although still overwhelmingly unpopular, President Trump has been creeping up in the polls slightly as of late. It appears that this slight trend upwards for the President may be due the strong economy, tax cuts, along with other factors such as calming tensions between the U.S. and North Korean governments as of late.
What seems to be occurring in this situation is the public holding back their frustration against Trump himself and instead focusing more on the benefits that his policies bring to them.
Once again, it is very important to note that this shift upwards is minor. However, with midterm elections coming up this year, this type of data is very important considering just a small trend such as this can flip the house and senate in any given direction.
Amidst all the controversies and issues surrounding Donald Trump at the moment, it will be interesting to see how this trend develops. Time will tell if this is truly something worth getting worked up over, or if it’s simply just an outlier in the polls.
