On Aug. 10th, multi-millionaire Jeffrey Epstein allegedly committed suicide while in jail awaiting trial. Considering that guards fell asleep, the camera footage is unusable, and an autopsy found that Epstein had broken bones in his neck—something unusual for suicides—we may never truly know what happened in that cell in Manhattan.
What’s even more troubling, however, is that Epstein’s secrets about those involved with his sex trafficking scandal died alongside him.
Brunel Vanishes ‘Like a Ghost’
Among the many questions about this case yet to have answers include the whereabouts of known associates who have been difficult to track down. Just yesterday sources reported that French millionaire Jean-Luc Brunel, 72, a model agency boss who many believe has key information regarding the Epstein Case, ‘disappeared without a trace.’
Brunel has denied any involvement with Epstein’s crimes, yet his current whereabouts are unknown. Police have been searching all over France and the rest of Europe, as well as the United States and Brazil. When Epstein was arrested, Brunel was in Brazil, allegedly looking for girls.
Brunel has no address or social media, so contact with him has been impossible.
Connection to Epstein
For quite some time, Brunel has had links to the case. The police are seeking to question Brunel after seeing one of his models at Epstein’s New York Mansion in 2016. The former model, Svetlana Pozhidaeva, denies it is her in the photograph. Epstein supposedly invested 1 million dollars into Brunel’s modeling agency MC2.
One of Epstein’s accusers, Virginia Roberts, has said that Brunel had also sexually abused her and many others. Roberts claims that Brunel slept with her “many times” when she was between the ages of 16 and 19.
“There is no address for him, all his internet accounts, including social media, have been wiped out. He is uncontactable,” a Paris legal source told the Daily Mirror.
Epstein had owned an apartment in Paris, France, where Brunel lived. The French government is now investigating the possibility of Epstein sexually abusing minors in France. They also believe it is likely many of his victims were from Paris.
Brunel’s disappearance follows last month’s bizarre manhunt for Ghislaine Maxwell, another known associate of Epstein’s.
